The college was constructed by former Swat state\u2019s ruler Miangul Abdul Haq Jahanzeb in 1952.<\/p>\n<p>Chief Minister Pervez Khattak had directed the earthquake engineering centre of the Engineering University Peshawar to conduct a survey of the building. \u201cWe understand the sentiments of people of Swat and will maintain the cultural and historical value of the college,\u201d he had assured a delegation from Swat.<\/p>\n<p>Cultural activists said the chief minister by announcing preservation of the college had won hearts and minds of the people of Swat.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cNo one can deny the cultural and historical value of Jahanzeb College as it was constructed at a time when there was no educational institute in the entire region.
