19 injured as gas cylinder explodes in Saidu hospital

MINGORA: Nineteen people were injured in a gas cylinder blast at the Saidu Sharif Teaching Hospital here on Tuesday. Hospital sources said the incident took place at the children ward. They added that an oxygen cylinder exploded early morning leaving 19 people, including eight women and seven children, injured. They heaped pile of complaints against the medical staff and administration along lacking of basic facilities in a survey conducted by this scribe. MINGORA: District Health Officer sacked two health employees for stealing medicines and selling them in market. According to a press statement issued from the office of District Health Office on Monday, DHO Swat Dr. Syed Ali Khan sacked two employees of the health department after catching them red handed while stealing medicines from the government hospitals’ stores and selling them in the open market.
