South Korea to construct Malakand Tunnel

ISLAMABAD: (APP) The Ambassador of Republic of South Korea H.E. Dr. Suh Dong-Gu called on the Chairman National Highway Authority Shahid Ashraf Tarar here on Wednesday. The meeting discussed progress over various projects including China Pakistan Economic Corridor (CPEC). They also agreed on the timely completion of the Lowari Tunnel project where Korean firm M/s SAMBU is the contractor. It was also decided to move forward on the proposed Malakand Tunnel for which Korea has already pledged a loan of US $ 78 million through Axiam Bank. Kashmir people in Swat participate in AJK elections

By Fazal Khaliq The Kashmiri families, settled in Swat, actively participated in the elections for LA-41 and LA-35 constituencies of Legislative Assembly of Azad Jammu and Kashamir by casting their votes in three combined polling stations set up in Mingora, Matta and Bahrain. About 350 families from Kashmir migrated to Swat during 1965 war and settled in different parts of the district. Swatis troubled with police ill-treatment
