MINGORA: Girls clinched the top three positions in SSC examination result of the Board of Intermediate and Secondary Education Swat here on Monday.

While announcing the annual result 2016, BISE Controller of the examinations professor Inayatullah  said that a total of 64639 students collectively appeared in the exmainations out of which 48,198 students were declared  successful.

Sabawoon Shah a student of Swat Public School and College topped the examination after scoring 1025 marks out of 1100, Andeel Rawan and Mahwish of the Swat Public School and College, and Syeda Huma Shah of Al Madina Model School and College shared second position after securing 1024 marks while Mehr Nigar of the Al Madian Model School and College got third position by scoring 1023 marks.

Sheraz Khan of SPS College got fourth position after securing 1021 marks, Aiman Aziz of Swat Children Academy got fifth  by scoring 1021, Aqil Khan of Excelsior College and Farhad Naeem of SPS each got 1018 marks and grabbed Sixth position.  Seventh position was clinched by three students, Rameen of Al Madina Model School and College, Tamanna Fazal of SPS College  and Sheema Gul  of Tipu  Model School & College by scoring 1017 marks.  Similarly, Salma of SPS College and Aneeta Zubair of Iqra Academy shared the eight position by getting 1016 marks.  Iqbal Hussain of Al Razi Public School kanju scored 1015 marks and secured ninth position while  Asma Ghani of SPS College and Ajmal Khan of Government High School Totano Bandai shared the tenth position after securing 1014 marks.

In grade nine a total of 33363 students appeared out of which 21881 students were declared successful with 66% while in tenth grade a total of 31276 students appeared of them 26317 students were declared successful with 84% result.

Expressing their excitement over grabbing top positions girls students said that girls in Swat loved education and wanted to  serve their country on higher positions.

“I got the top position because of my mother’s hard work as she guided me on every turn and she is my ideal. I dedicate my award to my mother.  Then My teachers and my school also played a vital role in lifting me to this position,” said Sabawoon Shah who grabbed the first position.

She was accompanied by her aunt who said she could not control her tears on the happiest occasion.

Afzal Shah father of Sabawoon said her daughter as her name meant dawn gave him a proud moment.

“I am so much excited that I can’t express my feelings.  My parents and teachers’ help and the 18-hours hard work enabled me to grab the second position,” said Syed Huma Shah of Al Madian Model School.

She added her father encouraged her during the studies. “This is the first step towards my medical studies as I dream to become a doctor to serve poor communities,” she added.

The third position holder Meher Nigar said that it was really a unique moment in her life to stand on the top three slots among thousands of students. “I worked hard and studied over 16 hours daily to reach this position,” she told Dawn.

BISE Swat Chairman Fazal Rahim Khan said that the examination were conducted transparently and  those who worked hard got positions.

MPA Fazal Hakeem Khan was chief guest on the occasion who congratulated all the successful students and said that education and heath were on the top priority of PTI government. “Youth is the future builder of a nation and only educated youth can lead their nation towards development. Our government will bring both education and health sectors on track,” he claimed.
