THANA: In a bid to attract and raise awareness among the young generation towards all forms of art, local artists and culture activists organized a three-day art exhibition here at Thana.
The exhibition titled “Jwand Aw Rang (Life and Colour) was organized by Hunarkor Pukhtunkhwa at the Government High School number one from April 28 to 30.
Renowned artist, Rifat Khatak and Malakand BISE chairman Professor Shaukat Ali formally inaugurated the event.
On the first day a workshop on art was organized to attract, encourage and train young students and raise awareness among them regarding visual art.
A group of prominent artists belong to Thana including Faisal kohzad, Salman Khan, Arshad Atal and Anas Abbas put their hearts and souls in supervising the workshop.
Students of the Lalazar Public School Thana, Iqra Education Academy, Government High School no 1 Thana and Government High School no 3 Thana participated in the event.
On the second day of the event artistic works, paintings and models were on display highlighting multiple aspects of human life, destruction of culture, Pashto tapa and gudar.
Paintings depicting love and peace, human rights, girls’ education and the impacts of war and violence; sabotaging social and cultural values were also displayed.
The exhibition aimed to bring awareness of art, creating a bright humanistic vision and peace in individuals and to curb the prevailing forces causing extremism, war and ignorance pulsating in our society.
