Several locations that are witnesses to this long-forgotten culture are Peshawar, Dir, Buner and Swat beside Taxila (in the Punjab) and Bamiyan and Hadda (in Afghanistan). Unfortunately, this  heritage has been steadily disappearing because of man-made and environmental reasons.
