Police arrest criminals, seize drugs and weapons

MINGORA:  Malakand police claimed on Thursday to have arrested 185 persons including 107 suspects along with weapons and drugs. According to the press release issued from the office of DIG Malakand Division, police during the previous 15 days have nabbed 78 criminals and 107 suspects from Swat, Shangla, Dir, Chitral, Buner and Malakand districts. Injectable inactivated polio vaccine introduced in Swat

Demolition of Jahanzeb College rejected

By Fazal Khaliq  MINGORA: Civil society and cultural activists have reached a consensus about not allowing the demolition of the historical building of Government Post Graduate Jahanzeb College, Saidu Sharif, over cracks caused by the Oct 26 earthquake. They insist tremors caused repairable damage to the structure put up in 1951 during the Swat state times.   The building has not been used by the administration for classes since Oct 26.
