MINGORA: Girl students grabbed two of the top three positions as the BISE Saidu Sharif, Swat, announced the FA/FSC results here on Sunday.
Rukhsar Khan of Swat Public School and College, Mingora, clinched the first position in the board by obtaining 1,023 marks. Masroor Anwar of Government Degree College, Mingora, got second position by scoring 1,018 marks while Saba Rukh of Swat Public School and College secured third position by obtaining 1,012 marks.
Talking to Dawn, the first position holder Rukhsar Khan attributed her success to her hard work and prayers of her parents.
“Actually proper study means to start study from the first day. It does not mean to study hard only in days closer to the exams,” she said, adding that hard work coupled with her parents’ encouragement placed her on the top.
“My success is not only mine but it is equally of my parents and teachers,” said Saba Rukh.
Overall 17,232 candidates appeared in the part-II exams of which 13,488 were declared successful with overall pass percentage of 78 per cent.
In computer science group, Asma Khan of Swat College of Science and Technology got first position by scoring 877 marks, Fazal Manan of Government College Totalai, Buner, second by obtaining 851 marks and Gulpanra of Swat College of Science got third position by scoring 835 marks.
In humanities group, Kalsoom of Government Degree College Saidu Sharif was placed first by obtaining 884 marks, Sheema and Zainab Khan of Government Girls College, Kanju, were placed second and third after obtaining 873 and 869 marks, respectively.
